The 16th annual Kirk Douglas Award For Excellence in Film at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival will be presented to acclaimed actor Ryan Gosling. Gosling's remarkable versatility is showcased in the critically lauded film, BARBIE, released this year. This distinguished award supports the festival's educational initiatives throughout the year. The presentation will take place on January 13, 2024, during a formal gala at the Ritz-Carlton Bacara in Santa Barbara. This event will be the second occasion the award is given posthumously in honor of the legendary actor Kirk Douglas.
